My dear fellow crocheter!

may i introduce, right in time for Easter: a beautiful and cute Daffodil in Flower Pot!

After the big success of my Peony in Flower Pot and my Sunflower in Flower Pot, i have now added a third flower to the family!

A great Easter decoration or gift for Mother's Day.

Welcome spring into your home with this gorgeously glowing Daffodil!

Another thing that's great about this pattern: there is barely any sewing needed!

I don't know about you - but that's something that's very important to me. Hence i try to design all my patterns with minimal sewing.

Materials

3mm and 2.5 mm hook > my go to and absolute favourite crochet hooks are these Japanese Tulip Etimo Rose crochet hooks. I use them all the time!

yarn strength -> DK, light worsted, number 3 Milk Cotton Yarn and mercerised sport baby yarn, number 2 -> for example: Schachenmayr Catania

in the colors dark green, light green, creme white, yellow, orange, dark brown, light brown. Rose and purple sport baby yarn for the cheeks and butterlfy.

embroidery needle/yarn needle -> i recommend getting them in several sizes, with a blunt tip (so you don't split the yarn). You will need them very often in amigurumi: the bigger ones for sewing your pieces together and the smaller ones are perfect for embroidery or sewing smaller pieces.

scissors or cutter-> if you prefer scissors i can really recommend these beautiful high-quality, vintage scissors

OR: If you prefer a cutter - like me - i really recommend this quick to grab yarn cutter

safety eyes 9 mm -> i recommend to get them in a set with different sizes

stuffing -> i use this poly-fil stuffing, i recommend getting a larger amount, because in my experience it's used up fairly quickly

sewing pins -> i recommend getting a bunch of sewing pins, because they tend to get lost or bent a little bit

stitch markers -> i use these

Oh Fall - you are the cosiest time of the year!

You smell like wet leaves on the ground.

You feel like long walks on Sundays.

You look like red, yellow and orange trees glowing in the sun.

You taste like hot chocolate and pumpkin pie.

You are soft like thick socks and warm blankets on the couch

You call for watching all Seasons of Gilmore Girls again.

Oh Fall - you are my favourite time of the year!

Notes

The height of the finished Daffodil in Flower Pot is approx. 21 cm.

The pattern is mostly worked in continuous spiral rounds (without closing off the round with a slst), except when stated different. Chains don't count as a stitch. There is almost no sewing needed. All the parts of the flower are crocheted in one piece, except for the leafs and butterfly, they are sewn on at the end. The soil and flower pot are crocheted separately.

Feel free to use the yarn and matching crochet hook of your choice to make the Daffodil in Flower Pot. The result will be bigger or smaller keeping the same proportions.
