Yarn in the colors dark brown, light brown, creme, turqoise and rose
Yarn strength DK, light worsted, number 3 Milk Cotton Yarn, except for rose in mercerised sport baby yarn, number 2 -> for example:
Sewing pins -> i recommend getting a bunch of sewing pins, because they tend to get lost or bend a little bit
Stitch Markers -> i use these. Also, check out these cute stitch markers!
Hook 2.5 mm and 2 mm -> my go-to and absolute favourite crochet hooks are these Japanese Tulip Etimo Rose crochet hooks. I use them all the time!
Safety Eyes 9 mm -> i recommend to get them in a set with different sizes
Yarn Needle, Embroidery Needle -> i recommend get them in several sizes, with a blunt tip (so you don't split the yarn). You will need them very often in amigurumi: the bigger ones for sewing your pieces together and the smaller ones are perfect for embroidery or sewing smaller pieces.
Embroidery Thread white and black
Scissors or cutter -> if you prefer scissors i can really recommend these beautiful high-quality, vintage scissors
OR: If you prefer a cutter - like me - i really recommend this quick to grab yarn cutter
Stuffing -> i use this poly-fil stuffing, i recommend getting a larger amount, because in my experience it's used up fairly quickly
Feel free to use the yarn and matching crochet hook of your choice to make Brownie the Kitty. The result will be bigger or smaller keeping the same proportions. All parts are crocheted separately and sewn together. We crochet in the round without chains. The pattern involves color changes. For the eyes we use a technique called eye indentation. All the parts are crocheted with the 2.5 mm hook except for the little salmon at the end. You find video tutorials for how to close the last round, how to make an invisible decrease, how to do the mattress stich and how to crochet the hdc foundation chain below.
