The finished Sunflower with Flower Pot is approx. 24 cm high.

It's crocheted in spiral rounds and almost no sewing is needed.

The flower is crocheted in one piece (with color changes), except for the leafs, they are sewn on at the end.

The soil and the pot are crocheted separately and then put together. Use the yarn and matching crochet hook of your choice. The result will be bigger or smaller, keeping the same proportions.

Below you find videos for the invisible decrease and how to close the last round.

Check out this super practical yarn bowl
I just got one and it's amazing!
It's heavy enough to not move when i pull on the yarn and no more chasing of yarn that's rolling around in my flat.

Materials

Yarn in the colors: creme white/beige for the body and dark green for the head, stem and leafs.

Medium brown, dark brown and yellow for the sunflower (orange is optional).

For the soil: medium brown.

For the flower pot: terra-cotta/light brown.

Yarn strength: DK, light worsted, number 3 (120-150m/50gr) -> i used Milk Cotton Yarn

Embroidery yarn: Green (a slightly lighter tone than the leafs) for the leaf veins and eyes

Sewing pins -> i recommend getting a bunch of sewing pins, because they tend to get lost or bend a little bit

Embroidery needle, Tapestry needle -> i recommend get them in several sizes, with a blunt tip (so you don't split the yarn). You will need them very often in amigurumi: the bigger ones for sewing your pieces together and the smaller ones are perfect for embroidery or sewing smaller pieces.

Stitch marker -> i use these

Safety eyes: 9 mm  -> i recommend to get them in a set with different sizes

Hook: 2.5 mm  -> my go-to and absolute favourite crochet hooks are these Japanese Tulip Etimo Rose crochet hooks. I use them all the time!

Scissors or cutter -> if you prefer scissors i can really recommend these beautiful high-quality, vintage scissors

OR: If you prefer a cutter - like me - i really recommend this quick to grab yarn cutter

Stuffing -> i use this poly-fil stuffing, i recommend getting a larger amount, because in my experience it's used up fairly quickly

Flat iron

Optional: Brown eyebrow pencil or sharpie to color the bulb
